The Jets season goes not out with a bang, but rather, a whimper. They fought hard, but the Patriots were simply the better team, and you can't do much about that right now. I'm disapointed, but at the same time, I didn't really expect too much. The Jets getting to the playoffs was amazing; winning at Foxboro again would have just been a miracle. At the very least, they set up nicely for next year. All the Jets really need is a big-time running back who can get 3-5 yards a carry consistently. Maybe Washington develops into that guy, but he just doesn't seem big enough at the moment. Well, the Jets could also use a run-stuffing tackle. The Pats ran all over them today. The just couldn't get them on third downs either. There must have been like 8 3rd and longs and the Pats seemed to get every one of them. Oh well. Another offseason to plug some holes, another good draft, another training camp to learn the system better, maybe they get on par with the Pats. Right now, however, they don't look too close.
