Last night I played a bunch of demos.
First off the new Resident Evil 5 trailer looks insane! I can't believe how many enemies you have coming at you at once. I always knew it was technically possible, but it just looks impossible. Can't wait for that one.
I downloaded the Heavenly Sword demo for PS3, it was a huge download that took forever, and it was pretty cool, for all of the 5 minutes I spent on it. It seems really fun but the demo was so short, it was basically an in game cutscene, action sequence and two fights.
Then I played Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata for 360. I'm surprised at how much I'm not impressed with Blue Dragon, with how much hype the game just seemed boring, the fight mechanics looked interesting but the game just looks like another Dragon Quest 8, which didn't really hold my interest either.
Eternal Sonata on the other hand, might be my RPG of the year (comp for Persona 3). The art style is amazing, everything looks great, and the fight system was very cool. It's a great unique mix of real time and turn based. Also it's cool how they use shadows during battles.
Michelle played the Overlord demo too while I was out. She said she loved it, but I refuse to drop $70 on a game that has so many known bugs.
