Well I've been enjoying my new computer quite a bit but I have yet to really get some new games for it. I have Windows installed using Bootcamp so I can run those programs but even then I have yet had the urge to really play any of them yet. I've been keeping myself busy with Heroes of Might and Magic V and Age of Empires III.
Now the thing is, I downloaded both of those titles. Now I like free as much as the next person but I prefer actually owning the game if I can help it. The fact that I think HOMMV might have a critical error because of its hacked status is a major prompt to get a legit copy. The problem - you know how *#@&ing hard it is to find a Mac version of these games in Canada? I can find windows copies up the wazoo but rarely can I find a mac one, at least not in a canadian store. I tried Amazon.ca but guess what, they're charging 100 dollars for HOMMV, despite the PC version costing half as much and the mac version costing only half as much south of the border. A major wtf, mate?
Anyways, I'll probably throw both of those titles onto a christmas list and hope that somebody can find a mac version somewhere out there. If not...well, the Canadian dollar is doing well, I don't think it'd be too much to order from the US. Custom taxes though...
In closing, I hate how our dollar is worth more but our products still cost 20-50% more than the Americans and I hate how hard it is to find Apple games in Canada.
