Mom keeps saying I need to work more hours. I only get like 7 bucks an hour and I get to work a whole 14 hours a day. Thats sooo many. And unlike most retail, my job has "on call" and I have to make available half my day in which I call an hour earlier than my on call time and find out if they need me anyways. That is soo great. I need to make more money but I can't. I told my boss when I started I'll work as many hours as I can. This job was much better with hours over winter break when I could work 5 days a week basically. Too late now to get another job seeing I hope to leave this state on the 30th.
On another note, I took my grandfather shopping last night and this afternoon. He needed to upgrade parts for his computer. We found some good rebate offers on new memory last night. It wasn't a very good brand but he doesn't need one anyways. 512 MB for $59.99. But wait! There's more! And its not set it and forget like that oven thing on infomercials. Its just do it and wait. Thats right.....a mail in rebate. A rebate for $40. Not bad. And today he bought a new printer because the old one he had broke. He had a dell printer and put a non-dell print cartridge into it and it broke it. Well now he has an hp with a scanner-copier. I think its basically the model Tegan has. $79.99. Then there was the cable he needed of course. Another $25. And one more purchise. He had a 15 inch crt I believe at home. He said he was leaning in about 4 inches from the screen to read it. We looked at monitors and he choose 20.1" LCD Samsung monitor. Thats another $349.99. But there were 80 dollars in rebates. Actually I think the price of the monitor might have been higher but the rebates were 80 still. So today I got a quite old man to buy more money on luxury goods then he probably has in 2 years. I didn't even pressure him into it.
And another story: I walked into the living room, where my mother was lying on the couch feeling like shit, and saw Emma with her bunny in her mouth. I took bunny and she expected me to throw it for her and waited. I then walked away. She waited till I was going up the stairs to bolt after me to make sure bunny was ok. I went all the way to my room where she was getting to the point where she was going on her hind legs to try to gently grab bunny away from me. I figured I had teased her enough and gave it back. It amused me just a little.
Ok, now to wonder on what will be for dinner. And tomorrow, I must make appointments. Car inspection. Haircut. Pedicure for my nasty nails. Actually, those last two are walk ins so whatever. And tomorrow I will do rebates with my grandfather. He's never done a mail in rebate before, or so he says. His memory is starting to go though, which is quite a shame.
Well, I've just been called for dinner so I have to go. Bye all.
