LEBean and I moved last week to this great new place. It's a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath place spread across 2 floors and...

... A BASEMENT!
So yeah, I claimed the basement prontissimo for my very own, with plans on turning the room at the end into a recording booth. Have all manner of plans for a business based around that, to follow soon.
The basement also has in it a drain in the utility room, so that if the water heater should go gonzo on me, there's someplace for it to go.
I'll make a long story short - that drain leads to the main sewer line for the entire building in which our townhome is located. That drain stopped up. Woke up this morning to find over an inch of water standing in my basement, looking bored.
The line has now been cleared, and the drain now once again functions, but the floor still needs a good cleaning and drying before it will be once again able to live down there. I spent the day with an 8" squeegee with a long handle trying to force the water back down the drain, and now my back is killing me.
Meds and bed, here I come!
