Lost In Florida
Most of you now know that I extended my trip to Florida an extra week. Basically, I will not be coming back to Atlanta until Sunday July 24th. I think it's the 24th. Anyway, perhaps you are wondering why this has happened. I mistakenly booked my flight that way, without knowing it until literally the same day I was leaving. It's a good thing that I work for a very understanding and flexible company who allowed me to use my vacation time.
All in all, I think I sort of need the extra week anyway. Things are going ok. My parents and I have been getting along better than never. My sister and nephew on the other hand, are making my blood boil. So I decided to keep a safe distance from them (Initially, I attempted to stay at their place for the duration). I will, however, be taking my nephew to Bush Gardens on Wednesday and back-to-school shopping on Thursday or Friday.
I saw some old friends when I came in Friday night. In due time I will see the rest of them. A hearty breed this Tampa Bay area harvests.
It's interesting to slip right back into the life I "left" 9 months ago. Not much has changed, but there is a great sense of comfort in the familiarity. But I miss my bros and sistas in Atlanta. Hope you are all doing well.
