Why 2005 is a really great year for music...
-Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning; Digital Ash in a Digital Urn
-Sage Francis - A Healthy Distrust
-The Books - Lost and Safe
-The Mountain Goats - The Sunset Tree
-Prefuse 73 EP releases with The Books
-New Weezer Album*
-New Pornographers to release new record
-Eels to release new record
-Mount Eerie show
-No Fun Fest in Brooklyn
-Back-to-back, end-of-tour Sage Francis shows
And that's all just off the top of my head. Imagine so much more, as I'm sure there is so much more to be had.
In other news I shocked all my muscles and can no longer move my neck to the left. Thank you Carolyn and Ashley for taking care of me today, it meant a lot.
P.S. Stenographer and Secretary will mercilessly come over to your house and make you dinner, and it will be your favorite meal.
* I say this with immense anticipation and high expectations for once. Weezer have been working on this album for a long time, and the circumstances for its creation are the same that developed Weezer's opus, Pinkerton; that is, Rivers Cuomo going back to college at Harvard, and a personal catharsis. I hope this is as good as I expect.
