Update

Feb 12, 2007 01:59

So, I haven't updated in longer than [insert dirty innuendo here], and thusly, I am going to cut this entry so you don't have to read the whole thing. It's late, and it may be kinda rambling. Lord, I apologize. (and I hate "Blue Collar Comedy Tour).

Side note: Where the heck did the "LJ Cut" Thing go on the update thing?

So:
We have Pledge Class shirts on their way finally. I just need a black hoodie or t-shirt from Mel and Shawna, and then they are set. They are going to be black shirts, with orange outlining "Finding Nemo" material. They shouldn't have left it to Haley and I to go and pick the material, but it happens. We will put "Baroquen Records" on the hoods, along the sewn edge, with our sigs under them. They will be mighty schweet, if I may say so myself.

Carnival was a lot of fun, but a LOT of work.
Special events were good, we ice fished *for DaWGS*, and then curled, dog-sledded, and ice volleyballed. It was an intense weekend. Tuesday Shawna and I were on statue at 7, and everyone else got there ~11, so we got working on it, and quit at 1:00 am. Wednesday, after Sandy and I got all the letters cut out for the statue, we went out to the site, and after a few people's egocentric comments got on my nerves, I went to get my stuff to get "down and dirty" with the statue. We were out there until ~4:00, and the last of the crew (sans Lian and Dave) went to breakfast at Perkins. Fun times.
WOP was fun, but I also wasn't pleased with all of the drama which incurred. Due to the actions of the imbibing people, Patty, our social chair, is not that pleased with the stuff that happened (like people quartering each other), and so they are going to lay down *new* party rules, which will promptly be ignored. I'm sorry, but my thoughts are that if you are going to drink, your actions are still your responsibility no matter what.
WOP brought with it some high-school-esque drama, and that's fine, because it gave me a break from the smell of booze in the house, so Scott and another 'Rumpet and myself got to deal with that shit. Cutting back to the party, I think I have finally admitted to a little crush I've had for a while, and Shawna drunkenly giggled about it for a while.
Gary was a lot of fun, and met some alumni, and spent some time talking with an Alumnus (take note, as Joe would be proud of the conjugation of that word) about his son, who they are trying to convince to go to MTU when he graduates. Hopefully.
Random sidebar: Abba's "Waterloo" makes me lose. And by reading this, you have too...:P
After Gary, Shawna and I got some TB, and went to Stephens' to watch drunken King's Cup playing...:S Yet another late night. Now I can't sleep, and I wonder why my sleep cycle is so messed up.
We moved all the stuff for the JLB to play at the Snow Ball, and that's fine. Until we tried to load back into Walker, and there was shit from here to Kingdom Come in the freight elevator, courtesy of the Pep Band. That really needs to STAY CLEAN. There is also the dirty and gross smelling oil used to fry the twinkies. EWWW.
I think that's it, YAY Carnival is over (time to buy a hoodie at 50% off..:) )
No class at 9:00 tomorrow, thank you influenza, you have chosen the correct professor to infect.

Lata, gata
OY~ That reminds me - my knees were still killing this morning from doing the "Gator" at WOP, and I didn't know it until I went to kneel during Mass. Thank God I play the organ, and don't have to kneel nearly as much as everyone else.
