WOW it's been crazy lately!

Oh my.  So on Friday 9/17 I got a job offer with CityGrid Media in Atlanta, but they wanted me here to start on 9/27.  I had to give my boss just a few days notice.

I spoke with him that day and just told him the truth, that I had to do it for the opportunity to live near my kids.

I went to the Temple on that Saturday.  On the way back I stopped by the Randalls and just said goodbye.

I worked through Thursday 9/23 and packed etc.    It was tough, I've liked it there at Kurlan, or learned to like it.  Dave sent me a 28 point list of things that he wanted written up and documented....  How to do my job.  I worked on those all week.   It was sad to say goodbye to my friends.  I was worried that Dave would stay and want to escort me from the building, but he didn't.   I was the last to leave, and locked up and left my keys on my desk.  It was a little sad and strange.

All week I've been trying to figure out what to do with that large heavy Oak entertainment center that I got from Lauren (was Kathy's earlier).   I listed it on craigslist (for $0) and freecycle, I emailed to church people and others...  No takers.

I picked up the UHaul at 7am Friday morning in Worcester.  Kevin Merkley came and helped me load up.   We first loaded up the entertainment center and tried to drop it at the Salvation Army, but they said they didn't have room and wouldn't take it!   I was stressing about what to do and Kevin just said, you will have to leave it.   I didn't want to, but there were no options, the truck was pretty small, and there was no room.

So that is what we did.    He helped me load and he was really good at it!  He was good at packing and good at getting things in and making them so they wouldn't move....   He stayed for a while (I felt bad) but when everything was in and I just needed to throw bedding and shoes etc. into garbage bags and shove them wherever they would fit, and clean, I made him leave.   He was already there longer than I meant him to be, but he didn't complain.

I started driving - left at about 230pm.  I was hoping to leave at 11am..    The late start put me into NYC at traffic-o'clock.  That added a few hours.   I got to Mark's in Virginia about 230am.  I slept for a few hours and then talked to them and left about 9am.

Got to Peachtree City (staying at Dr. Murli's house) about 1030pm or so.  Just went to bed.  Got up and unhooked the car from the Truck.   Drove to the Smyrna LDS ward.  Was a little late, it was tough to get up after those 2 looooong days!   Talked to the Bishop and a few others.  Got some advice on a few complexes to stay away from.  Went to see the 2 I had appointments with.  Drove past a couple of others.  Decided on one, signed the lease, but knew I couldn't get back that night with the truck, etc. and her boss needed to look over the lease, etc.  I told her I would come by right after work on Monday, thinking I would unload that night.

Wanted to go see the kids Sunday night, but it didn't work out.

Went to work Monday morning.  The people are really nice.  The job will be OK, I've got some things to learn, but it will be OK.

Got stuck in a meeting until after 6pm.  Called the leasing office, they were gone.  I had already given the key/ remote for Dr. Murli's house back, and moved the UHaul truck to the parking lot at my new complex.   I didn't have anywhere to go that night.  It was raining really bad.  I just got a cheap motel room near my truck, after checking on it.   It was pretty scary to feel so alone and homeless and scared.

Work on Tuesday.  Things fine.   Left early (Ok'd by boss) and got the lease signed (after changing it to a 9 month lease) did a walk through, and there was a rental set of washer/dryer in there.  I said are you going to leave that?   She said I'll get it moved.  I didn't say anything.  She called me back a few minutes later and said that her boss OK'd her to leave it at no charge!

Got everything unpacked and into the apartment (NOT raining) which was a little tough when it came to my Queen bed, etc.  But I got it.

Wednesday work - all OK.   I am pretty tired and achy today and will just set up the kids beds and move a few things and get some sleep.

It's going to be allright.  I get to see my kids on Friday!
