My Grandma died

She died on Monday.   She had a couple of scares over the past year or so, where we thought she was going.    She had lost her speech in the past few months, due to some little strokes or something, but mainly was healthy.

So I'm off to Utah this afternoon for Grandma's Funeral.   She was 98 and did pretty well, health-wise, until it was time.   So

Mike, I'm sorry for your loss and your mother's. I hope it's okay if I come to the wake on Friday night. It's very close to my apartment and I'd like to pay my respects.

In Utah they call them "Viewings" and there is no alcohol (usually). Of course you are welcome.

I've never been to a viewing (they call them "Wakes" here as in the old days where they were laid out in the parlour, now called the "Living Room" )waiting to see if they awoke, where they have served alcohol! Are you joking with the alcohol comment? I am slow.

PS....I loved your sweet and wonderful Grandma! She truly was a remarkable woman who will be missed by many!
