Takin what they're givin'

I don't write on the internet much anymore. And I want to change that.
Yesterday I worked a 16 hour day installing an AV system at Scripps Howard's new headquarters. I spent 12 of those hours putting connectors on cables in a rack. At around 8pm I powered the whole thing up and the entire rack lit up in glorious, colorful synchronicity, indicating that every single one of the 150 or so connectors I installed worked perfectly. I haven't felt that rewarded in a while. It was like I just lit up Times Square.
Band practice then we're playing in Indiana tonight, driving back and I'm working tomorrow morning on the same thing.
