Has anyone else ever gone this long without an update? I personally wish I could just download the past events from my brain instead of having to sit here and type it all out. Partly because, my computer apathy has severely damaged my accuracy with typing, and partly because I wouldn’t have to come up with all the jokes I use to keep people interested. =^^=
Let’s see.
I QUIT! I was so tired of that detail shop. I couldn’t stand the language or the content of the conversations. I couldn’t stand the music (I’m sorry DCTalk but “I hate rap music”), I couldn’t stand the hours (11 hours of work every Saturday ain’t cuttin’ it), and I really needed to go on the summer retreat.
The retreat was great! Courtney came!!! I am a happy little fox simply for that reason. Thank you m’love. Even though (hurricane) Dennis cut three days out of it, it was still a wonderful trip. I got to see the beach for the second time in my life. It’s still just as beautiful... (daydreams a bit), Gardner finally proposed to Stacy, and I got stung in the butt by a jellyfish (it went down my shorts [skinny dipping is purple]).
I would like to thank Alex and Samuel for teaching me how to play Phase 10. It entertained me greatly.
While at the beach I was called by my future (now current) boss. After a second interview that Monday morning I was hired and am now the youngest lab technician to work at Thompson Tractor! Yerf! I work in the oil lab and am currently getting $8 an hour and a minimum of 45 hours a week. However, this week alone I will have worked at least 53 hours. (And no, don’t think I got this job easily. I nearly aced their aptitude test with a score of 99. If you can do that too, then join me. [Man I’m fat headed.])
I get to work with equipment like a laser spectrometer, and I operate a robotic arm known as the Bohdan. It’s great! I feel all sciency. (May they never discover that I failed Biology and only got C’s in Chem.) I even get medical insurance and dental.
Well, if you can’t tell, I really like this job.
Also, I finally have my project car! My uncle sold me his ‘73 duster... still running. My current goal is to make it look better than Jeff’s [see The Alphabetical list of Samantha’s Boyfriends: pp914]. I can’t wait to begin work on it.
(Sorry sis’... but it was funny)
Anywho, there’s lots to talk about, but my fingers hurt. If you really gotta know, call me... cause... I’m lazy, and... stuff.
