Join the Cult of Defiance on Friday, January 20th, for an event
from beyond the grave and into the future as we play hosts to a very
special musical guest, Mercurine. They will take the stage at
11:00pm, so show-up early and be prepared for a gothic-rock
experience of such calibre that even our resident DJs' souls will
escape eternal damnation through sonic absolution. You can find out

Our guest DJ this month, by extremely popular demand, is
Phreakiboi. As part of the Dark Techno Collective, PhreakiBoi has
added and expanded upon the closing-night theme set by Dante of
industrial-dance and psytrance, adding a harder element to Defiance
and touching upon genres previously untapped at our club.
The arsenal of the Black Cat Lounge this month will be controlled
by the quad-threat of Our Patron Saints of the Undead, Meester,
RickAMortis, Neshamah, and Narce, (with possibly one, other guest as
yet unannounced). Be prepared for the usual crypt-rocking tunes from
your undead childhood coupled with enough dark party music to truly
call the dead back home. Your host, Meester, will make sure that
every good request gets special attention, and will use his unholy
powers to ensure that a martini glass will never leave your hand
while in the Black Cat Lounge.
The back room will be a combination of the talents of: Our Lord of
the Gothspel, Narce Talksin; the Archbishop of Malta and Sunny Elba,
Dante; the Rivethead from Beyond the Seventh Seal, Tristan von
Wasserspeier; the Inflictor of Vernian Justice, RickA.Mortis; and our
honoured guest, the leader of the Dark-Techno Collective and All
Electronic that is Beyond Evil, PhreakiBoi. The formats will range
from the darkest of all gothic-rock through structured noise to the
hardest-hitting of industrial-dance and psytrance. Come prepared to
dance.
The front room will be headed-up by our infamous High Priestess of
Defiance, Neshamah, with rotations of various residents throughout
the night. Neshamah, being one of the most well-rounded DJs we know,
will use her vast knowledge of music to keep your toes tapping to
accessible 80s, newwave, darkwave, and more throughout the evening.
