it's good to be home

Folks,

As the above tagline says, it's good to be home. Had one of the best weekends in a long while, one that leaves me giddy with excitement about things that'll come in the following months...

I feel really good about being able to lend support to an old friend/more than a friend who's been going through some tough times with a family illness. It means a lot that she knows she can turn here.

Saturday night reaffirmed my love for basement shows, and bands that play them. 100 plus hot sweaty kids jammed together, singing and dancing and drinking and drinking and drinking(not me..I save some room for my favoirtes: Spikes hot dogs and choclate pudding flavored ice cream) and I spent the evening in the best mood I've been in for what seems like a year. Plus, I think everything that spurted out of my mouth that night was hee-fucking-terical. I also decided to email this rad girl about hanging out, since Imentioned Saturday we should, and rather than wait to bump into her again I thought it may be a good move. I remember waking up at 520 am onSunday EXCITED about the night before and the people I met, and ok, the girl/singer/nerd...plus, Dan Shea, that kid's my new side kick. I believe at one point of the night I had him hoisted over my shoulders ready and willing to make sweet man love to him in a doorless urinal...somehow we repressed the urge to merge. All in all I met some damn fine new people the past couple of weeks.

Vinnie has TAKEN THIS PLACE OVER. He's sleeping on everyones bed, waving his cat-fanny in peoples faces when they're on the couch and all in all being the cutest thing on 4 legs ever. He and the other cat GG get along prett well..I've spotted them following each other around sniffing the others asses and standing by the door together looking outside.

Oh and the LARCH..first show...DEC 2
