you did what, now?

Ali and I, dirty hippies that we are, grow some of our own produce here at Belt Manor. This includes a nice small pepper garden for me. When I make eggs in the morning, I like to saute one fresh cayenne pepper, one fresh jalapeno pepper, maybe a little fresh sweet green pepper, and a half onion together in a pan. After a little while, I'll throw in the eggs, and I have a wonderful, healthy breakfast.

This morning, I slept in for an extra 20 minutes, and Ali, loving wife that she is, made breakfast for me. I came downstairs, and there was a plate of eggs, with peppers from our garden, and two strips of bacon, fresh from the farm.

The eggs were hot. I mean HOT. REALLY HOT. HOT LIKE WHOA. I thought "man, it must just be early in the morning, and your taste buds are still waking up," so I soldiered through the eggs. After a little while, I mentioned that these eggs seem hot, even for me.

Alison assures me that she did nothing different from what I do. That is to say, she only put in one half onion, a little bit of sweet yellow pepper, one cayenne pepper, two whole jalapeno peppers, and one whole fresh habanero pepper.

I feel kinda high right now. I haven't felt this way since some time in the 80s.
