The show of the year, fo'real:

This Friday, March 19th, the Sidebar Tavern, $6 for 21+, $7 for -21, doors at 8:30pm.

You can come to this show, or you can spend the rest of your life regretting the fact that you didn't.
Now, I know that a lot of people (myself included) say "THIS SHOW IS GONNA BE GREAT YOU GOTTA COME TO THIS," but I actually mean it this time. Come on down and help us celebrate St. Patrick's day on a night when nobody has to work the next morning. This is the long-awaited first show of Baltimore's potato-eatin', Guinness-drinkin', clover-lovin' bad boys, the Charm City Saints. Also, this'll be Craig's last show with us until summer, as he's gearing up for back surgery, so come on out and show him some love, as he prepares to go under the knife.

We will also finally settle the problems in Northern Ireland, as every band has members representing Protestants, Catholics, agnostics, and atheists. No damned hippie tree-huggers, though, and that's a good thing.

The bands, in reverse order of performance:

Big Daddy Chrome - That's us. Mobtown rock and roll, fast and dirty, just the way you like it. If you haven't seen us in awhile, come out and party with us again, and check out all the new material. If you've NEVER seen us, what in the hell are you waiting for??? We ain't gettin' any younger, you know.

The Charm City Saints - Rising from the ashes of the Mobtown Hooligans, the Saints play Irish-influenced streetrock, complete with Highland bagpipes, and are guaranteed to have you ordering more Guinness than you intended to. Their pedigree ain't shabby either, when you consider they include ex and current members of Next Step Up, No Class Heros, and Samadhi.

Full Minute of Mercury - What happens when you mix 80s new wave, hardcore, punk, synthpop, and a dash of Iron Maiden? These guys and gals. DC's FMHg continues to be one of the regions hottest rising acts, with a high-energy show, dead-on songwriting, and incredible musicianship. See'em now, before they get signed, and you have to pay $20 a ticket.

DUI - DC punk rock, the way it was always meant to be: fast, drunk, and loud. DUI play the kind of punk us old people grew up on, with catchy sing-along choruses that don't compromise the hard-edged, hard-drinkin' songs they're in. I can't think of a better band to open this night up, and set the tone for the festivities to follow.
