1st week is almost over
So my first full week of the new quarter is almost over. =o) What's been going on?
Counseling Practicum - Haven't started seeing clients or attending group. We will interview and rank our potential supervisors this week.
Career Practicum - Been busy writing an article on LGBT career issues to go into the campus newspaper and updating our LGBT resources
Research Practicum - Trained three commmunity members to do paper surveys in North county. Supervising an undergrad to code the paper surveys, and continuing to present our findings at meetings.
Qualifying Exam Preparation - I've studied a lot of the theory, my next steps are to revise my reading list and to write a mock paper. I'm taking them in late Feb/early March of this year (academic year). Our study group is in the process of forming and might meet next week at 5pm.
TA - Working with a slightly disorganized professor to present the LGBTQ Studies intro class, I have met with all three of my sections so far. I like Tues and Wed class spaces, but Monday sucks the room is too narrow.
GBQ Men's Group - Ray and I will be co-facillitating the gay, bisexual, and questioning men's group on Thursday night.

Socially, this Friday Calvin is coming up from Long Beach. I may go to the AIDS Walk on Saturday morning, my friends Jill and Amber are getting married at 2pm with the reception following, and then Elisa has organized a Counseling Emphasis party at her house that night (we'll see when the wedding gets out). Calvin heads back to Long Beach on Sunday morning and I go to play volleyball. =o)
