Hi. I'm loving your reviews of the chapters. I read them to my daughter, who is thirteen and can read them for herself, but I do *ahem* censor certain words (like 'wet' as in 'wet dream', I don't feel like explaining all that in the middle of the review).
You really do need to know the characters to go along at the pace. This is a 'kids' serial' after all, and kids like pairings and snogging scenes. And, canaries when the snogging doesn't involve you. But, yeah, it does help to have read and enjoyed the other books. (Warning: The first chapters of book 1 are pretty dull, but necessary for plot, darn it!)
Okay, if I was writing the script, I'd show the spying, since it goes on even when it isn't mentioned. Just, Draco disappearing down a hall, and Harry coming out from under his cloak or something. And, I'd probably show the scene with Snape and Draco, but only show Harry leaving the party to follow, and have the camera in the room with S&D. I'd leave the snogging for the background, with the real action taking place in front of it.
Hope you continue with your reviews! We're loving every one of them.
