Pointless news ahead. Also pointlessly sentimental.

So a few years back, I'm walking through the mall with my birthmom. I admit, not the most macho pastime, but she's fun and I didn't get to see her often back then. So, she spots some guy she knows (and I don't trust in the least), introduces me, and he quickly gives her a little gold chain that she then gives to me.

From that night on I've been wearing that chain with not a green neck in sight, and I've been perfectly happy with it. I mean, it's the one gift I've gotten from her that I haven't just eventually put somewhere and forgotten about. Well, that and the cat o' nine tails, but it's kinda hard to forget that when you keep it on your wall to scare people.

Anyway, about a week ago I lost the chain. Just felt my neck lacking metal, and instantly freaked out. A lot more than I thought I would, actually. I paced around and checked every room at least three times, and seriously considered walking to Aaron's house (a couple miles) with my eyes glued to the ground to see if I lost it on a walk.

Then my dad walks in today and reveals he found it in the driveway with the clasp busted off. We're off to get it fixed tomorrow, and I couldn't be more elated.

Told ya it was pointless.
