So...I'm a little late. Again. Pbbt.
Back at the bookstore, and craving a paycheck even more since my spring classes ate up my savings like Pac-Man. Though I probably don't have much to complain about, compared to those of you at universities, but 270 bucks for three classes just...hurts. Damned price hikes. At least my books should only run me about 25 dollars altogether. Taking Intro to Philosophy, which is taught by my favorite teacher there. His Ethics class that I took was also fun, and he mentioned something about a class in the fall semester that'll let me prepare for the Ethics Bowl, which from what I heard from him is a bunch of people getting together to show how much smarter they are then people from other colleges. So you know I'm in.
My family and I decided to start saving up so I could get some o' that surgery that'll let me get rid of my glasses, which I've been wearing since I was like...eight or something. Sounds nice, but it's gonna be a loooong time coming.
It doesn't exactly help now that I've decided to get a subscription to Heavy Metal Magazine. I swear, I didn't expect it to be quite this cool, though I probably shouldn't judge just based on one issue. I will be hunting up back issues soon as well (The Gypsy alluded to a few previous adventures I wanna read), as well as a couple of the art books. And of course I still have to get the Mega Man and Street Fighter comics, and the Darkstalkers, Devil May Cry, and Rival Schools ones when they come out. I'm glad I'm not a devoted comic book geek, lord knows how little money I'd have.
I want the second and third Beast Wars seasons on DVD. Now. Ah wants me Silverbolt!
And while I'm whining about what I want, bring out the Hellsing manga too. I don't wanna bother getting the whole anime series, Gonzo or not.
While picking up Aaron's mom from the red cross, he and I somehow came upon the idea that "Y'know, Mega Man could make a fun [serious] TV show, with a few changes made." And in the course of a one-hour drive, we linked the MM, X, and Zero universes into a massive epic war-drama thing. Should I bother writing it down and trying to convert it to fic form? Opinions?
And I'm still beaming at having found "Street Fighter", the movie starring Van Damme, for only 8 bucks! *now owns one of the greatest movies of all time*
