Lesson 1: Don't be a dick
Aaaaaages ago I mentioned that I was doing book illustrations for a couple of lovely Swiss academics. And now that book has gone to print and is being used to train lots of people, from small business in Nu Zilind to NASA and the US Air Force. I designed all the characters and did the rough work for every drawing. I only did the inks and colours on a handful of them; most of the heavy lifting was done by my erstwhile colleague Jonathan Frericks. What a guy.
Many thanks to Werner and Andrea for sending me a signed copy when it went to print. I'm chuffed as nuts.
