And now we're not even allowed out of this bloody castle. It's as if these teachers enjoy making us claustrophobic.

The common room is still not a cheerful place.

Terry, mate. I need to talk to you.

And when exactly should it have become cheerful, Michael? One of our year mates is dead and another is missing. What do you want us to do?

How well did you know Lo?

I knew her. I didn't know her as well as I know some people. I don't know if she let anyone get close to her. But, I feel that makes it worse... I can't even sleep for the guilt.

But, she's gone. She's never coming back. Don't you think that she deserves respect?

And what about Mandy, Michael? We've come through school together and you moan about the Common Room not being cheerful? You can't ask people to be happy on demand because you feel like moving on. You have to let them move on on their own.

Think of all the billions of people who've died and you never knew. Why's this any different. She didn't seem unhappy.

Respect because she's dead? Does Hitler deserve respect?

Moping doesn't do any good.

She deserves respect because she was a good person. I knew her well enough to know that.
I don't expect you to understand.

And why don't you expect me to understand?

I meant I don't expect you to understand how I feel. I don't expect to understand you.

This is because we know nothing about each other. I find that extremely sad.

Maybe we should get to know each other more then.

We're in the same house, afterall.

I wouldn't be adverse to getting to know you better. I just feel we shouldn't have to discuss it like this. We were sorted together. We should have started then.

Maybe. But we might as well start now, rather than dwelling on what we should have done.

Very true about this situation.

So, how do we start this? Is there anything you want to know about me?

Erm. What do you like doing?

I like to read, write, act and sing. I like to fly, even if I can't do it well.

What about you?
