Las Vegas, Friday night/Saturday morning
Delinda and Piper the concierge had a plan to poach the hottest new bartender in Vegas away from his current bar. All they needed was someone to go with Piper and run interference with the bouncers while she chatted with the bartender.
That's how Mike came to find himself doing shots with the cute new concierge and bragging about how well he could hold his liquor. The bartender took a very, very long time to be persuaded to jump ship and join the Montecito. Mike, on his fifth drink that night, couldn't understand why. If a girl as gorgeous as Piper so much as looked at him, he'd do anything she asked.
After the sixth drink, things got really blurry. The next thing he knew for certain was waking up in bed in a strange apartment. It was Piper's apartment, actually, and they were both wearing nothing but a pair of gold wedding bands.
That's when Mike knew for certain that coming back to Vegas was a huge mistake.
