Alright so today was the canal days parade.. pretty low turn out.. it was sad.. like.. really sad.. as in Gina said she could clearly hear me and that shouldn't happen since i'm the only one on my part.. hopefully we'll be louder and stuff.. that would be great.. but after the parade, we rushed to Oswego to see Drum Corps International performances.. we got there late, but we saw The Cavaliers warm up.. it. was. amazing... wow.. even if it was only the pit and drumline WOW.. it was great.. so then we got in the show and saw Pioneer, Southwind, The Cavaliers, and Chicago Royal Air.. they were all pretty good. I really liked Royal Air, they used to be a regular DCI corps until 1968.. but starting in 2002 its a reunion corps.. so basically all the members now are pretty old.. but they sound amazing.. and it was a really really good show.. It was the First DCI show id seen live.. totally glad i went!
I leave for Washington DC on Sunday.. The NRA selects 40 members from across the country to take part in the Youth Education Summit, and I was selected.. so i get to visit the white house and Quantico USMC Base.. its gonna be a neat trip.. i'm sad to leave though.. its weird how busy this summer actually is.. its like.. whenever Gina gets back, I leave, and its crazy.. I think its great that I'm doing so much stuff though.. really good experiences.. I wish I had a job though.. so if anyone needs a person to mow lawn or chop wood or do stuff.. i'd be happy to provide service.. but yeah.. thats all for tonight
