I'm breaking new records here... 2nd movie in a year... yeah, I'm pathetic.
I went and saw the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie tonight- Was great after the cops escorted out the drunks in the back of the theatre who were screaming and providing commentary on the whole film.
I must say the first 5 minutes of the film were the most entertaining for me. At first I thought it was just a cheap "hey, buy popcorn and soda" type thing that the theatre had put in... but i was very entertained! :)
It was good though, troy who works at the station got me in free (and then I went and spent $8.50 on a small popcorn and small soda), and he gave me the grand tour of the place at the end... It was good, I really liked going through and watching him thread the films for the next round of movies. I love that behind the scenes type of thing- probably the same type of thrill i got from doing lighting for all the musicals when i was in high school, and working at the radio station. If the pay wasn't dirt, i'd probably love to get a part-time job there and running the projectors, etc... Though I'd probably get bored with it in a week or two... Though I think Troy enjoys it... being salaried instead of hourly I'm sure makes all the difference.
I'm on the website for the movie right now... (www.kingcolon.com) looking at the soundtrack... during the actual movie, "In The Air Tonight" by Phil Collins kept playing (always just the intro, never the vocals, i guess they saved some money doing that!)... but sadly that song is not on the sound track... all heavy metal which I'm not forking over $16 for!
Good movie though, check it out if you get a chance.
