Yes, go ahead and start your bitching... I bought satellite radio today. The radio itself was only $50, and with buying a year of service up front, it only cost me about $11 a month. What really sealed the deal for me is that they recently announced that they'll be carrying the BBC's Radio 1 starting later this summer. Were it not for that, I probably would have gone the XM route.
First impressions- I am really happy with it- hooked up pretty easily, and the audio quality is pretty good. The pop channel is alright, but I'm really thrilled about Alt Nation, the Big 80's channel, and the Pulse. It's a nice variety of music that I can't find on terrestrial radio at the moment in this market.
