Earth Hour
Earth Hour is today, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, your local time.
Turn off your lights and other nonessential electrical stuff for one hour as a symbolic gesture to save energy, reduce carbon, and help our Earth (we have nowhere else to go if we ruin this planet; we may all die if we don't fix our problem).

4,000 cities in 88 countries will be participating (even the Las Vegas Strip!). Come on, be a lemming! You know you want to do it too!)
We did it last year (the first time it was done), and we enjoyed the quiet and the natural light. It's just one hour. (OK, zenfultx got antsy after 35 minutes without the TV, but he suffered and still lived.)
