It's Monday again ... the day that sets the tone for the rest of the week; well, my week anyway. I'm working nights this week, so I'm just getting ready to settle down to night full of problems, and hopefully solutions.
I found out on Friday that we are starting support of a new software package tonite. I was Fedex'd another pager and everything. I feel like I should have one of those fancy holsters so I could do a little quickdraw when I get a page. Then, having sucessfully fended off impending doom yet another time, I could twirl my pagers with a florish, slip them skillfully back into their leather holsters and, tipping my hat, mosey off into the sunset.
Unfortunately reality is much more prosaic. I just found out we are starting support on this software last Friday. I haven't gotten any training on it yet, I don't even HAVE it yet. I certainly hope noone calls in tonite looking for any help beyond 'reboot and try it again'. Oh well, such is the lot of a support rep.
At least it was a good weekend and I was able to get some Christmas shopping done. Now if I can find time to wrap it all.
