Happy Birthday to me!
Well it's over. I managed to stay up from 7.00 yesterday til 6.00 this morning. I'm sorta in a zombiesque state right now but a happy one. Woke up and watched wrestling. I find this hilarious. When my kids ask, "what's the first thing you did on your 18th birthday?" I'll say "Why I watched Shawn Michaels beat Randy Orton of course" :-S. Then I went downstairs and opened presents. I still can't get over how much people must have spent. It must have been SO much money and it makes me feel guilty- if not a teeny bit special.
Spending the afternoon with Ajay and Beckie was great too. I wanted to do something really big but my mind went blank and we ended up doing the usual Durham things. It's just great to have the kind of friend who you could be sitting in a small dark empty room and could still have fun with and if you know what I mean then I'm really happy for you. You've got someone to hold onto there.
The party was also great too. Mind you blanks need to be filled in, such as "How much did I actually have to drink?", "How come I now have £20 when I had £15?", "How much karaoke did I actually sing" and other such questions I'll leave to your warped imagination.
Went back to Shields' place. Had a few drinks, opened presents (Loved the script btw :D (if you don't understand, don't ask) ), then started to write. I would say what was I wrote/drew/doodled but if certain people ever read my Lj then it probably wouldn't sit well with them despite how sickeningly nice it was. If you ask nicely I will tell... or most likely if you just ask I'll embarrassingly divulge the whole sad story from start to finish. :-p
At 2:30 decided to go for a walk with Matthews. After 3 and a half hours of walking, talking about Blackie, the party and those people you just feel so close to (we were drunk, yet it was quite philisophical) we walked through the sunrise in Durham before I got in my own bed by 6.
I'm sure I've missed bits out so if people wanna fill in blanks, feel free.
