Happy New Year - a little late

2004 was a pretty good year for me. I met a wonderful man named Robert (Rob) in December of 2003, so it started 2004 off with butterflies in my tummy, long walks at the park, a lot of eating out, and plenty of movie watching...
-------
For New Year's in 2004, we went dancing at Graham's Central Station in Tempe (which is where we'd met just a few weeks before). It was pretty lame honestly, but we enjoyed each other's company immensely. We also took Mikayleigh to Zoolights - which was also Rob's first time - they both loved it :)
-------
In February, we took a wonderfully relaxing trip to Sedona together. Our first "getaway" - I felt like a giddy school girl with a huge crush - it'd been awhile since I'd smiled and laughed so much...
-------
In April we went our on first camping trip together (Rob got VERY sick - food poisoning from Mickey D's - yummy!!).
-------
In May we celebrated Mikay's 2nd birthday & Rob's THIRTY-2nd birthday :)
-------
In June, Rob proposed (and I accepted!!) and we started our wedding planning. It was also the one year anniversary of his dad's passing, so it was a rough month, but a joyous one too...
-------
We got our house in August and have thoroughly enjoyed living there. It's in a great little neighborhood and the house is just big enough for the three of us.
-------
In September we took a trip - the three of us - up to Payson - brrrrrr, it was FREEZING :) We stayed in my grandfather's RV for the weekend - it was really super funness :)
-------
For my birthday in October, we went to Vegas for a few days - I'd never been so it was VERY exciting - we loved it so much and had so much fun that we decided that's where we wanted to go for our honeymoon.
-------
Our first Thanksgiving together was fun - we both love family stuff so the holidays are definitely our thing - besides, who doesn't love paid time off of work?!?!
-------
Then, December 4th, we got married - yep, Nichole, the one who was starting to give up on the idea of ever being a "Mrs." (even though everyone, including herself, always thought she'd be the FIRST to get hitched) - it was a beautiful and perfectly perfect wedding...a day neither of us will ever forget. Christmas was great - it's the first year Mikay really understood the idea of unwrapping - and boy did she understand it :)
-------
I also relocated and changed positions at my job and got a raise. In the summer, we took Mikayleigh to see different things like Sesame Street Live (to feed her Elmo infatuation/obsession), Disney on Ice - Jungle Book, and Shrek 2 in the theatres. The year went by quickly, and I'm sad that's it's over - it was the best year in quite a while...I've honestly never been happier. I feel like I've grown so much - and I've watched my daughter grow too. My family has had a rough year...a very rough year...but I hope it's only the dark before the dawn...I just keep telling my poor mother, "it'll all work itself out, you'll see", though I doubt she believes that.
Well, this definitely is longer than I thought it would be.
I wish you all a happy, prosperous, adventurous, wonderful, New Year. May 2005 be the year you "turned it all around"...
KISSES :)
