it's been kinda rough lately. my uncle ray died on the 17th then my grandma died early on the 19th. i had both of their funerals this past weekend. it was really difficult to say goodbye twice in one weekend. i had to go home thursday night, miss classes on friday, go to my uncle's funeral, go to my grandma's funeral on saturday and then i finally had a day off on sunday and jake and i made pancakes in my grandma's memory (she used to make pancakes for my brother and me and she also had two children's stories that had pancakes in them). we also got some fish for my dorm so that i can have some pets up at school, too.
anyway, we were supposed to have inspections last week, but my roommates and i never signed up since elena was throwing up for a few days, christa has work, soccer and classes, and i had to go home thursday afternoon to make it in time for the funerals the next day. so the woman who was doing our inspection decided to let herself into our room (which is illegal) and do the inspection while we weren't there. we failed since we had trash bags out in the hall that weren't full yet so we hadn't taken them down to the dumpster. she came again while elena was there and she explained what had been going on with everyone and why we couldn't exactly find the time to clean our rooms spotless and make an appointment and she said "well, that's not my fault". elena, however, brought up the fact that she had entered our room without our permission and gone through our things and it's basically the same thing as breaking and entering. she could lose her job and get arrested over it.
she decided to be "nice" and do our inspection today (who knows when).
