God has terrible aim
Going back to my roots!
I was explaining to our office cafe's clerk what happened to my hand. She asked me if I was left- or right-handed and I told her I was right handed. She replied with something to the effect of, "Oh, God is good".
Now I love this woman and all the other clerks at this little cafe, but I just don't understand this mindset. I hurt my left hand because I was holding the blade in my right hand... because I'm right-handed. I know that there's a chance that for some reason I'd hold it in my left to get some angle I couldn't achieve with my right, but I imagine most tool-related lacerations occur on the non-dominent hand.
The bigger problem though, is that if God were guiding my hands or the blade in some way, why didn't he just move the blade one inch so that I missed my finger completely?
