Yes, I'm still alive.
So in case you've been wondering what my past several posts were, they were actually cross posts from my
last.fm journal. Erin has been a big driving force for me getting into music even more than I already was.
Oh yeah, Erin and I got back together. I've been going through some crazy times in my life. Someone once said that the biggest obstacle to happiness is expecting too much of it. There's really a lot more to all of it than that, but I'll leave it there for this public journal.
So anyways, yes, last.fm is a really cool website that kind of combines facebook with pandora. Basically, you set up a profile for yourself and download an application to your computer that keeps track of the music you play on iTunes or Winamp or Songbird or whatever. The site then keeps statistics on which artists you listen to and what your friends listen to. What I find most useful is that it shows you concerts and events in your area related to the stuff you like. You can even subscribe to an RSS feed that'll alert you to new events.
