Post Birthday
I'm getting really bad at this whole updating my LJ thing.
I'm 23! Horray!
I bought myself a 1999 Cosmos Black BMW M3 Convertible, in case you haven't been paying attention. It is so fast. It is so fun. It is so much more car than I am driver (for now).
I went to Slippery When Wet last last weekend. It's always fun and weird to be back at Mudd. So many good memories. So many bad ones. Such a love-hate relationship. Erin went with me. I was happy about that. :)
Last weekend was graduation for the class of 2010. Go class of 2010! Now you're in the real world. It's.... different.
The commencement speaker was pretty good, in my opinion, despite calling us Muddies instead of Mudders. Every commencement speaker talks about how we should use our smarts and our resources and our drive to really make a difference in the world -- to make society better off for us having been around. Andrew, Tyler, and I discussed that on the ride home (at 2:00am). None of us really know how to go about improving this world of ours with the knowledge and skills we have. And we fear that we may get too comfortable at a job that pays the bills.
I personally fear getting comfortable in a job that's not challenging in the way I'd like it to be. I'd like to be on the cutting edge of technology, but I think that requires the kind of education I'm not sure I could commit to...
Seriously, this car is awesome. I get to see Erin on Wednesday. We're going to a Massive Attack concert next week.
