Her feet continued to move. She was so close to seeing him again. Three years had passed and now was not the time to stop. She scanned what seemed like hundreds of rooms in hopes of finding him there. An explosion was heard and she immediately went to where it came from.

Head gradually facing upwards, she saw him―the very reason of her journey―standing just several meters away. His voice was deep, dark, and held the same emotionless tone.

And then there was that voice. His eyes opened slowly as footsteps neared him. He saw her green eyes once again, staring back at him. Anger, worry, relief―he could tell what she was feeling just by sensing her presence.
“We’re going home.”
He closed his eyes as he heard her words and let the warmth seep into him. Never in his life had he felt this peaceful and content.
