Paul and Moritz (from school!) arrived yesterday in Frankfurt and left today. There was much Melty Blood played (taking turns against Spike online), as well as watching of There Will Be Brawl (excellent film noir, super smash bros. live action series), eating of Flammkuchen (flame cakes, like a pizza but thinner and bigger and better - a Frankfurt speciality), and not-drinking of beer (that was done by Paul). I did buy apple wine (not cider!) in preparation, then discovered I had actually bought apple juice (Which is fine I guess, cause I needed some!)
I seem to know more German than I thought I did, so if I keep up what I'm learning maybe I could speak quite well in a year or so. Here's hoping...
My new HP Pavilion laptop is on its way - hopefully I can then at least watch Youtube without causing overheating! Silent Hill 3 will be on my list to play on the new laptop, as well as Touhou 12...
I'd like to organise my creativity into a more solid structure so I don't keep starting new things, but that's just how it works, I guess. With NaNoWriMo fast approaching, a danmaku game to make, Japanese to brush up on, German to learn, and a visual novel to translate, I have more than enough to do. And yet the appealing prospect of sleep encroaches upon me whenever I intend to do any of these things. Playing DS and reading Teach Yourself German on the train/tram/bus seem to be the most opportune times at the moment. Crepes on Tuesday!
Mornings are dreamscapes. Daytime is determination. Nights are a mystery.
Perhaps I should go make LJ private so I can reveal my innermost thoughts, whatever they are...
