I really should not have had a couple glasses of earl grey tea so close to bedtime. My body is wide awake even though my brain is ready for sleep. And the blankets are all soft and pleasant to smell since Dattas washed them recently.
I found out that an old term for body snatchers is The Resurrection Men, courtesy of Robert Louis Stevenson. I was finishing up one of his short stories while I was trying to get to sleep.
Dattas made these delightful pigs in a blanket and rolls for dinner. I wish I knew how to make the dough not poof out so much during baking, but they are still delicious. To help encourage sleep, I sliced a roll in half and covered the two pieces with cream cheese before warming it in the microwave. Heaven...
I know this is probably not the best idea, but I did some reading from philosophy and economics. I managed 3-5 pages of Thomas Aquinas before I had to put it down. Now I am reading my economics textbook and I am finding it a ton more interesting and enjoyable to read. Usually I like my philosophy a bit more, but Aquinas is not one of the philosophers I enjoy reading. Now Nietzsche I could dig into, but I need monotonous more than excitement at the moment.
Hopefully I can get to sleep soon. Dattas does not sleep as well if I am not nearby. It's also a treat to be comfy in bed as I head to sleep. Never know what cute snores he might emit ^.^
