[She spends most of the day out by the orchard-- sitting on the cottage roof, actually, staring out across the snow-covered orchard, wind whipping her hair into her face. Not that she's noticed. Nami isn't exactly sulking brooding, but... the events of yesterday have brought back home the sort of situation they're in. Gilded or not, a prison is a prison. She knows she's changing because of this place. Not in a good way. Going home to where things made sense and your sense of self couldn't be ripped out of you with the flick of a switch...?
Bellemere complicates things. So much. She loves that she gets to see her mother again, and she hates that she has to begrudge Luceti this much. Ace...this is the only life he gets. She already knows what Marco thinks on that. She's afraid to ask Luffy. (And this place is bad for Luffy. Something else to keep in mind. Does Ace complicate things for him, too?)
So many other dead people in Luceti.
I'm afraid I can't be so irresponsible as to leave something like that in your hands...!
They aren't new thoughts. She's been chewing this over since the harvest. She owes this place nothing.
No sense getting caught up in moral dilemmas about whether it's selfish or not. We're pirates, we'll do what we want.
...
...she's getting ahead of herself anyway. Even if what she's thinking of actually worked, it's not the solution to going home. It's one step. And if Nami thinks of it as a possibility and doesn't try to explore it, that's another form of giving up. Isn't it...?]
[Filtered from Nu]
Bellemere-san's been taken. [Flat. So flat.] I'd appreciate it if people kept an eye out for her.
[Oh yes. She's so smooth today. She hesitates, and then drops the filter entirely for the next part. She doubts very much Nu will chime in with anything, but it's the sort of question she'd rather not exclude anyone from. Marco'll find this one familiar.]
[Open Voice]
So I'm curious.
If you could go home tomorrow but the price is that everyone goes home, no matter what... would you?
[She asks not because she needs to know the answer, strangely enough. Marco already gave her the answer she needed. She asks because she's taking notes of something else entirely.
In the evening, she finally pays a visit to the Battledome, taking a thorough tour of the place and even trying out a few basic settings in one of the rooms. She'll pay extra attention in the room that's apparently been set up with a Kusanagi-failsafe, trying to see if anything seems different to the others... but apart from that, inquisitive Nami is generally inquisitive.
She eventually fetches up at Good Spirits to drink into the early hours, but that's hardly anything new. Catch her wherever.]
