[Aside from the whole bit with him being sent home for a while...]

Quiet, for the most part. Where did you end up going?

Actually, we kind of ended up circling Luceti - I was surveying the land as we went, so it called for a round trip. You could say we went all over the place.

You couldn't have asked for better weather for a trip like that. I'm almost jealous-- I still have yet to see much of Luceti outside the forest, the lake and the hot springs.

Oh, it was great. And we did go past the hot springs, too. [There was violence.] Are you much of a camper, Richard?

Actually, I've never been on a proper camping trip before, so I couldn't say whether I'd enjoy it or not.

...actually, I have to confess that was only my second one. I'm not much for the wilderness.

I suspect I'll probably end up being the same way if I ever do get the chance to go camping. It took me a while just to get used to the living quarters here, and they're a far cry from the wilderness.

Really? What kind of living quarters are you used to, then?

My parents were very wealthy-- I'm used to something more like a manor.

[Technically a palace, but he doesn't like to talk about that.]

Ah. We've got a few people displaced like that here in Luceti. I think we even have an emperor somewhere. Hard to get used to, huh?

It is, but I think I prefer it here. There's far more freedom, and I can learn so many things that I never had the chance to back at home.

[He laughs a bit.]

Such as cooking.

[Ah, she totally approves of this 'more freedom' thing.] Cooking, huh? Is someone teaching you?

Actually, Sir Sanji offered to give me lessons as long as I didn't expect him to go easy on me.

[Grin.] Did he now? Well, he's a brilliant chef. I hope it goes well. [Though you are not a lady, so uh. Have fun with that, Richard. |D]
