3rd Mikan [Voice / Possible Action]

So, the moon is closing in... and it doesn't show any signs of stopping. Is that right?

[Her voice is particularly level. In fact, casual, save for that edge of defiance in it, and crosses her arms with a pause. She's looking up, right up at the thing.]

What an ugly mug. The malnosso plan on letting us die? I doubt they're that stupid. We're too ( Read more... )

[can I get some of that possible action?] skulljokelol October 30 2011, 12:14:01 UTC
[Hi we met right

If Bellemere's stepping back in the house anytime soon, Brook will be camping out on the couch, still under the weather thanks to his run in with Law and the Mask of the Red Death on the 26th.]

Ah... it's so dull and dreary just sitting around like this...

[Just talking to open air here, don't mind him.]

[She steps around the couch to sit down next to him, a beer in her hand. She was a little... concerned, about running into the skeleton, but strangely enough, he seems pretty damn mellow compared to the other things in Luceti that could scare her out of her skin.

Brook's not one of 'em. ~___~]

A possible end of the village and you're stranded sick on the couch. You have my condolences.

...

How are you sick if you're just bones, anyway?

Sick?

[Sick and it's possibly the end of the world? What. No. He can't stand for that. Well actually - just the opposite! He should stand for that, and try a little harder to cheer people up in these hard times. So he'll do that now, very suddenly!]

Sick, you say! Perish the thought! I'm hardly ill at all.

[Just. Very nauseated. Standing up that fast was probably a bad idea, oops. Excuse his lunge for the bowl by the other side of the couch. >>]

.....

What were you saying, about not being ill?

[Siiigh. You strawhats aren't good at handling your sick days.]

[... Sigh. She rubs his back, rolling her eyes.]

Where are you even keeping all of that?

[There's a 'thank you' for her kindness, slipped somewhere in between two shaky coughs, before he wipes his mouth and straightens his shoulders, still sitting on his knees.]

Yohohoho... One would think not having a stomach would make it easier, no?

You'd think. [She leans back onto the couch, exhaling a puff of smoke.] You going to go to the tunnels?

I plan to follow the Captain, wherever he decides to stay. I imagine that he'll want to see this through to the end; the romance of the adventure.

[Tch. You guys are really something.]

Romance of adventure, is it?

It's good to have faith in your captain, anyway. No group, marine or pirate, can have a proper crew without a leader they believe in.

Those are honest words, miss! [He should know. He's been both a pirate and military captain, in his own time.] I've met such men before - they never get far.

[Slowly, he picks himself up off the ground to sit on one end of the couch, non-existent stomach still a little queasy.]

But you would know that best, I believe? If I remember it right, Nami-san mentioned that you were a marine.

[And she sits up, sitting casually next to this ginormous skeleton guy.

She should be more surprised than this, to be next to skeletons. But hey. Dead person alive--they're both in the same boat, on a technicality.]

That's right. I used to be a marine! It's actually how I found my girls.

Is that so? I would never have thought that there was a daycare service in the marines!

Oh, there isn't. After I found Nami and Nojiko, I retired from the marines and adopted them.

Oh, adoption sounds much better. [See, he thought maybe you just took them home from the daycare. >>]

It must have been a rewarding experience!
