Heart and soul so far....
Over the last two days, I have been involved with an event called Heart and Soul in Glasgow. The event is on the whole week.
How will this happen? There will be a marquee on Bellahouston Park for the week of 5-11 July 2004. This will be the main base for Heart & Soul. Delegates will apply to come for the week, live radically and serve communitites in the city by day and invite everyone to great events in the park each night.
Each Morning... there will be training with awesome times of worship and life changing teaching. Find out that there are no limits to what God can do in a life that is given fully to Him.
Each Afternoon... be part of a team putting faith into action with church and community. Projects will include clearing waste areas, cleaning graffiti, sorting clothes for asylum seekers, playing football with local kids, drop-in cafe's and much more...
Projects will run 2-5pm, Tuesday to Friday, 6th-9th July 2004. Teams will be sent to the following locations:
Mosspark Baptist, Corkerhill Road, Mosspark - youthwork
St Rollox CofS, Sighthill - youthwork, practical action & asylum seeker support
Glasgow CC, Govan, CofS youth project - practical action
Garthamlock CofS, Garthamlock - children's club
Glasgow Elim, Govanhill - practical action
Bellahouston Park - skatepark
Whiteinch CofS, Whiteinch - practical action
Glasgow City Mission - practical action
The Well, Govanhill - ethnic minorities support
Maryhill - practical action
Glasgow City Council (areas tbc)- 2 environmental projects

Which bands will be playing during the week?

Each Evening... invite everyone you meet to come along to the marquee in the park for mega multi-media events. We have invited great bands and speakers who will challenge you to the core...and everyone will have the opporunity to hear the Message and respond.
There will be nightly gigs in the marquee at 7:30pm in Bellahouston park.
Monday 5th - The Great Send Out: Commissioning
Tuesday 6th - To Be Pure: Special night on Purity
Wednesday 7th - Superhero and onehundredhours
Thursday 8th - Andy Hunter and Cathy Burton
Friday 9th - The Tribe and Acquitted
On Saturday 10th July... come to a huge party in the park. This event will have something for everyone, great music, great message, skatepark, children's area, food...the whole Festival will be a fabulous day out for you and all your friends.
Between 2-4pm there will be a huge Family Extravanganza followed immediately by the Heart & Soul Party in the Park till 10pm. This 6 hour party includes sets by the following bands: Acquitted, Audiogene, Luma, Scott Nicol, Six Star Hotel, The Tribe & Yfriday.

I am involved with the St Rollox team. Cleaning graffiti off the walls, painting, cleaning up streets, drama workshops, bike workshops, and much more. God is moving and it is amazing. The gigs in the park are wicked! can't wait until saturday!
