Steak and Shake takes all the blues away

There's just something undeniable about the aroma of greasy burgers and fries that instantly brings back good memories of steak and shake. And something about speculating what exactly takes so long to make your food at steak & Shake. You know what I mean it always takes a ridiculous amount of time for some way too greasy food or a milkshake. Anyway- this notorious restaurant made me quite happy tonight. Today was good. In fact it was great. Last soccer practice of the year and the captains led it which = tag games, shooting and world cup which translates for you non-soccer people to not a whole lot of boring running. Yay. Just 2 games tomorrow. And tis Friday which just makes the day all the more sweeter. Then rehearsal in which hilarity ensued during act 2 b/c we were missing two members of the cast who were in studio theatre shows tonight. Timing is oh so important.. and it was oh so terribly off tonight. I think the crowning moment came when I was standing onstage watching Brooke and Dotty tangle in a mass of sheets and then suddenly, Tim just falls through the door head first and lays there while they try to disentangle everyone. I was cracking up. After rehearsal I made that glorious journey to the esteemed Steak and Shake where it proceeded to take at least 2 hours to order and eat milkshakes... but in those 2 hours we managed to build a castle from our menus, discuss the worst movies ever made, favorite childhood tv shows, and tally the number of weird stares that Doug, one of the guys in the cast, got for having his hair in pigtails. We got 31. Pretty impressive. But he looked really scary. Anyway- i don't think I have laughed this much in a while. Twas good. I love theatre people.
