To all those struggling with depression, or know someone who is, I believe this is an incredible resource for understanding it, as well as beginning a journey out of it.

I agree. It is hard to explain oneself, especially when part of a counter-culture. I don't even know how to describe my faith to most people... "Hebraic Christian," "Jewish God-fearer," "Student of Judaism who believes Jesus is the Messiah, but I'm not Christian in the sense most people think of." It seems to require a conversation, rather than a title. Even still, quite a few people call me "Pastor," which I am to them, but I prefer "Spiritual Counselor," at least when describing what I do to someone.
As for music, I own a professional portable recording studio, as well as produce and compose. My last heavier adventure, I Am, was strangely called "Hardcore/Industrial/Goth/Emo/Metal" by the local scene. And then we added Experimental to the mix before going strictly into studio work and changing our name. I also love to write in the vein of Acoustic/Indie Rock. And one wouldn't think it of me, but in the last year, I started producing music for Hip-Hop and R&B. It's helped me hone in my writing skills for the Industrial side of things, which is a cool benefit. So, all in all, what I don't write is Country, though I have had to bear recording someone else doing it before.
