To all those struggling with depression, or know someone who is, I believe this is an incredible resource for understanding it, as well as beginning a journey out of it.

Currently I live with a married couple who have a 3 1/2 year old. I showed her your site. She was able to relate because you also are married with a kid and you and your wife seem to be very artistic. I think that is great. It is hard to find people who believe in God and are artistic, goth, industrial etc. I don't really like to label people, so forgive me if you feel I am labeling you. But sometimes it is hard to explain oneself or someone to describe what they are like.
I just noticed the other post about you making music. I think that is great. Is it an industrial sound? I use to have a band when I lived back in California. Currently my friend and I are making music from a computer. I use to play gutiar some years ago, but I really like machine sounding music. I also like tribal sounding(more drums the merrier) So it is easier to use my pc for things such as that. I have completed some songs but am afraid to share them with anyone especially people who believe in God because they might not understand. The music is about God but is not like that elevator sounding music. It is close to industrial, goth sounding. I use voice changers so it sounds pretty erie. My lyrics are not so nice. Even though in my songs it expresses God's power. But I like to sing about stuff that portrays God as being strong. Its not condemning anyone and is not hell fire. I played it for some non believers and they said it was good but kind of made them feel freaked out like they just saw a ghost. I guess its a lot harder to describe music in writing. It's easier just to play it, because music speaks to each individual differantly. But the people that had listened to it did not think they were being judged in anyway. Which is good because I don't want to judge or condemn anyone.

I agree. It is hard to explain oneself, especially when part of a counter-culture. I don't even know how to describe my faith to most people... "Hebraic Christian," "Jewish God-fearer," "Student of Judaism who believes Jesus is the Messiah, but I'm not Christian in the sense most people think of." It seems to require a conversation, rather than a title. Even still, quite a few people call me "Pastor," which I am to them, but I prefer "Spiritual Counselor," at least when describing what I do to someone.
As for music, I own a professional portable recording studio, as well as produce and compose. My last heavier adventure, I Am, was strangely called "Hardcore/Industrial/Goth/Emo/Metal" by the local scene. And then we added Experimental to the mix before going strictly into studio work and changing our name. I also love to write in the vein of Acoustic/Indie Rock. And one wouldn't think it of me, but in the last year, I started producing music for Hip-Hop and R&B. It's helped me hone in my writing skills for the Industrial side of things, which is a cool benefit. So, all in all, what I don't write is Country, though I have had to bear recording someone else doing it before.
