The last couple of weeks have been very cool. We've been counseling two couples, that have improved by leaps and bounds. I can't give details, but I can say that it's always an awesome feeling to have some part in someone pursuing their dreams and realizing their gifts.

Last week, we received $1000 check in the mail from The Missionary Church. No letter, no explanation, just a check. It was way cool! December was very slow. and we weren't sure how bills were going to be paid, or how our group was going to pay for some of the things we need to do. Today, Bob (the director of US Missions) emailed us, telling us to pack our bags for Florida this February. We're going there for a training seminar. It should be a great time to meet other people.

Speaking of...
We met with several leaders from around Texas a couple of weeks ago, and it looks like we'll be working with Chris Seay from Ecclesia to accomplish some of our more artistically focused endeavors. We also were offered free stay in Austin by a couple who are starting a Diseminary there. It's like a nu-monastary, where families can live at and study. There were also several there who couldn't talk about people without numbers coming out of their mouth. That was weird, but not surprising.

Back to the Missionary Church though...
We will be flying in a couple of days early to their week-long training session, the pelimenary stuff to start our planning and resourcing. Nadine and I received some Christmas money from her Grandmother, and have been looking to take a vacation with it. What better to do if we're already going to be in Orlando, Florida than to go to Disney World? Nadine has never been there, and we don't have to pay for the flight to get out there. I only wish we had enough to see Cirque du Soliel while we're there. But two days in the parks will be incredibly cool.

On another front, it looks as if the Postal Service finally accepted my resignation, which I gave them last March. I have some notifications of job and insurance changes to send out. We're getting help from the State for Jonathan until we're back on our feet. The way things are going, it may not be long at all for when we are sustained by the portable recording studio, production work, and some of the other things we've got going. I don't think we could ever go back to a "job" now that we've experienced what it's like to freely pursue our passions. It's unnecessary to go back, if we're willing to push forward. Not to mention health issues (thanks to USPS). We look forward to bringing Jonathan up in knowing that he can pursue his passions and gifts as a vocation, something I wish I had been taught when I was young.

And one last thing... MarsHall (thickwaltz)is the coolest 15 year old I've ever known. We help him put on concerts, which he wanted to do to help us raise funds. Our next concert, February 25th, will be the one year anniversary of his taking over the concerts. Coolness.
