i HAVE a job

okay, so the good news or the bad news first? good choice, always save the best for last. so, the bad news is that i think i'm failing astronomy. jessica informed me, which is a testament to how incredibly out of touch with class i really am. i think i can redeem myself, though. it might include some MAJOR ass kissing/licking (TAs like rim jobs, apparently), but i think i can do it. but the GOOD news is that i think i have a job! at a HEADSHOP! hahaha. in santa cruz! does that crack you up? it cracks me up. so, misha's visiting in town now, and we went down to pacific ave. to buy a sweet little bong for her. as the older man who was putting in the downstem for her was observing that, "lazy people don't put the downstems in ahead of time," i realized that it was a sign from god that i should ask to work in the headshop. i offered to work there, and he took down the number and said he would call me. this other shady looking dude asked him if he was hiring, and the older guy (who was the owner) looked at him sceptically and asked him to bring in a resume. when i asked if i should bring one, he shook his head and said not to worry about it. the owner seemed really chill and decent, and he mentioned that he also owned the headshop across the street. so, i decided to go check out the other one as soon as we left the first one. when i went over there, a young man who had been working at the first shop was there, and he said that the owner was his uncle, and that he had never seen his uncle get so excited about a potential employee. i guess the owner told him that i looked like a good salesperson. then the younger guy said, "well, the thing about this business is that you need beautiful people working," and i thought, "why are you here then?" but i didn't say it because i want the job. so, the young guy is going to call me tomorrow and sort out the particulars. i'm psyched! a real job (sort of)! this means i can stop doing tricks downtown on saturday nights instead of drinking with my friends!
