Hey

ALthough I get your frustrations and I do agree to some point, they should not mess with a good concept.

However I don't understand why (some) people always have to say they don't watch it anymore because of changes.

I didn't like when Rossi replaced Gideon but got used to it. I didn't care much for Emily replacing Elle and still don't care much for Emily's charachter. AJ i did like but found that I actually don;t even miss her that much in the stories.

I think possibly the writers are to blame for that. They never gave the female characters all that much background. I wonder if AJ never got pregnat in real life if they would have ever given her some sort of private life in the series.

Emily's private lief was basically non-existent also and now all of a sudden when everybody already knew she would be written out we get this huge storyline at which point I hardly even care anymore. And just look how eaily they suddenly put Garcia also in charge with coming in with folders and describing the cases? She is not even an agent.

Somehow I think it would be much more felt if Morgan or Spencer or Garcia would leave and maybe even Hotchner. The others always seem so much more replaceable.

If they ever did get replaced I would be annoyed but would still watch it. Changes happen especially in a series that already has 6 seasons.

I guess it depends on the person. I'm the kind that watches a show for the characters, and if they get rid of characters that i like i just lose interest. Also, despite the lack of background, i felt really connected to both JJ and Emily and i do note their absence greatly.
I never felt very strongly about Gideon or Elle. so i didn't mind as much when they left.
I think it all depends on how you connect to the characters (or how you don't).
