I wanted to say something about the BBC's Robin Hood, but i'm going to try a cut for the first time, so here goes.
I just borrowed the first season of Robin Hood from the library and am waiting for the second season, however, i cheated and went to tv.com to see what happens, and i was shocked to learn that Marian dies at the end of season two!
No wonder that it ended after three seasons. What were the writers thinking? You can't just go around killing a main character, especially so early in the series. So, of course the series had to end with Robin Hood's death as well!
I guess they couldn't have him gallavanting around without his lady love.
Also, i did not like how they portrayed Robin Hood as a spoiled and petulant teenager who threw a fit everytime he didn't get his own way!
In fact, i dislike the character so much in the series that i have become a Guy/Marian fan. Yes, that's right. I would prefer the sheriff's cruel Master of Arms than the people's hero.
Speaking of Sir Guy of Gisborne, i thought he was treated very cruelly by Marian. He has two sides; a good one and a bad one, but he does love Marian and she uses that against him. There were times when i didn't like Marian because of that.
I think i'm done ranting for today.
