My painting at the Lyndon house sold for 400 dollars! Due to commission I get 280 of that, but....280! And it wasn't sold to a friend or relative, and not for 25 bucks. My first real sell!
Maybe I need to get back to that type of painting, or at least start becoming active about showing. The one that made the flagpole cover was made at the same time. Everything so far has been pretty passive. I didn't want to put anything in the juried show because I didn't think I'd get in.
I'm normally spitefully critical about everything I produce, so tonight I'm going to ease up, drink some booze, and probably use the money to pay for my summer school fees that my scholarship
doesn't see fit to cover.
