It is easy for cannes and berlin. the festivals held at the same time every year. Berlinale is in February. Cannes is in May. You can wiki the festival's name with the year to get the exact date and every film that is participating in the festival ^^

about iwo jima shoot, this is from wiki:

"The film was originally entitled Red Sun, Black Sand.[citation needed] Although the film is set in Japan, it was filmed primarily in Barstow and Bakersfield in California. All Japanese cast except for Ken Watanabe were selected through auditions.[citation needed] Filming in California wrapped on April 8, and the cast and crew then headed back to the studio in Los Angeles for more scenes before Eastwood, Watanabe and a skeleton crew made a quick one-day trip to Iwo Jima for some on-location shots.[citation needed] Principal photography finished in late 2006.[citation needed]"

But I remember Nino said that he went to the same festival around the same time? Not sure though... But he talked about Paris/Cannes in their Music Station guesting on Feb. 2007...

Oh yes, that wiki. So filming ended April and it probably started around late Jan or early Feb? But when I checked Mago-Mago Arashi and G no Arashi episodes, he was present around that time. Isn't it that there's a time when they film their shows with just the 4 of them?

Anyways... sorry for being so nitpicky about this. Haha! I'm making a timeline on a Nino fanfic and I'm really keen on details especially on dates. :))

they couldn't held at the same time, Berlinale and cannes ^^ can't be. trust me on that. But then again, i don't think they screen iwo jima at cannes. If Berlinale has taken it, Cannes won't want it and the other way around ^^ And I dont think Iwo jima ever screened in Cannes, as far as I know it is just Berlinale. But then again, maybe he went to Cannes not for the festival. I am not sure. Prolly need to ask a hardcore nino fan for that one..
Mago2 and those variety shows (all of them) can be shot way earlier than the screening dates so we can't rely on that I think.
There is some episodes i remember that didnt have nino.

You're right. Iwo Jima is screened in Berlinale but not in Cannes. He went to Berlin for the festival and went to Paris after for a special screening of the film there. ^^ Now that's cleared. ^_^

We're only left with the Iwo Jima filming. I'll just search for their Music Station perfs to be sure. haha!

I don't read your fic, but curiously clicked your post on arashirabu. And find you are searching for nino's exact date to LA for filming iwo jima, based on his game nikki, he arrived in LA on 11 March 2006 and went back to Japan on 24 April 2006. Hope that helps :)

HAHAHA! Jun is overly protective of Sho in this fic. And he continuously said that he doesn't want him to get hurt. If this is not a het OC story, this can be a potential sakumoto fic with how things are going. ^__^
